A WALK ON WATER HERMANOS

STRATEGY
Show the authentic side of life in Mexico on the other side of tourism, both as a special needs child and an instructor.

OVERVIEW
We traveled to Mexico to expand the organization's reach to the international special needs community and to tell a story that hadn't been told yet. Made entirely in Spanish, shot on location.

EXECUTION
Harnessing the power of friendship, hope, and the transformative power of the ocean, we followed two parallel lives. Joelviz, a child born with cerebral palsy, living in challenging conditions in the shadows of Cabo San Lucas. These are the neighborhoods you don't see when you're staying at the five-star resorts. Capturing intimate portraits of Joelviz life in his home, at school, and around town, his mother narrates his story for him. The second part of the story is about Stosh, an instructor from his own challenging background, who finds purpose and direction through working with others.
